The 1st Annual Adirondack Paddling Symposium will be held on the weekend of Friday, June 21 – Sunday 23 (plus an optional tour on Monday June 24), 2019 at Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company in Old Forge, New York. Developed by paddlers like you the goal is simple: to build skills to further your paddling enjoyment. With so many amazing places to explore in the Adirondack and in New York State, the more efficient and confident you are, the further you will go, the bolder you will be.

We will focus on the beginner to intermediate paddler and have chosen patient and caring instructors to create an environment of encouragement that is judgement-free and will truly further the enjoyment you get from paddling. This level of paddler has the most to gain from instruction, to understand how the body and boat/ board work together to get the most from your craft and yourself.

We encourage you to join us on Monday, June 24 and put your new skills to the test on “Tour Monday.”  Due to the different logistics and lengths of each tour, costs are specific. See our website for the full list of Tours and more details on cost and to register.  (Participants in Tour Monday must be a student of the Symposium.)

 

This registration includes:

  • Two class sessions on Saturday and two class sessions on Sunday (see schedule).   • Access to Friday and Saturday Evening Programs.
  • Friday Wine and Cheese Social.
  • Saturday breakfast, Evening Social and dinner.
  • Sunday breakfast and Send off Lunch. 
  • Vendor Village

  • Rentals are available.

  • Lodging or Camping.

Cancellation Policy:

We certainly hope that you will be able to join us, but we understand that circumstances arise.  We just also ask that you understand the cancellation policy.  As we are planning for coaches to come from many areas of the country and we need to plan for meals, knowing our attendance is vital for us to put on a great event.

  • Cancellation before May 20th-  Full refund.   
  • Cancellation May 20th or later. No refund will be available.
