As always, each ADK guide supplies complete information on rules and regulations, how to find the trailhead, where to park, mileages, elevation gains and heights and all essential navigational information. Each trail is keyed to indicate its location on Trails Illustrated Map 755.
Catskill Trails is volume 6 in ADKs new Forest Preserve Series of guidebooks covering the Adirondacks and Catskills. Volume 1 is High Peaks Trails, volume 2 its the Eastern Trails, volume 3 is Central Trails, volume 4 is Western Trails, and volume 5 covers the Northville-Placid Trail.

The High Peaks Trails and Map Pack includes the 15th edition (published in 2021) of High Peaks Trails and the Trails Illustrated Map 742. This pack covers the 46 highest peaks in the Adirondacks.
The 15th edition addresses the significant zone changes that have been implemented by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, as well as new acquisitions, new trails, reroutes, restored and altered trailheads, and parking regulations.
Notable changes include Boreas Ponds access information, closure of the Porter Mt. trail from the Garden, a new route to Allen Mt., numerous additions to the Champlain Valley trail network, and a whole new Northwestern Section, covering trails in the remote territory east of Route 30 north of Paul Smiths. Also new is a chart comparing approaches to Mount Marcy. The book is also smaller in size, to fit more easily into a backpack.
